Helping you take steps toward a life worth living.
Jennifer Laurenza has been a licensed mental health professional (LMHC and LMFT) since 2003. With two Master's degrees (a Master of Science in Marriage & Family Therapy and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction Writing), she provides a creative, compassionate, collaborative, and down-to-earth approach in working with people of all ages, backgrounds, sexual orientations, and gender identities.
Jenn operates from a feminist therapy framework, which focuses on diversity, gender issues, and sexism. She is committed to both individual and social change. She believes in therapy as a tool to empower those who feel silenced or oppressed by majority cultures in society, especially people of color, women, LGBTQ people, and other marginalized folks. She helps clients find and use their voice as well as identify skills and strengths that will help them recognize and embrace their own personal power.
In addition to professional counseling, Jenn provides clinical supervision to mental health professionals seeking licensure.
Jenn is also an Independent Educational Consultant, utilizing her 20+ years of counseling to help college seekers and their families, including neurodiverse students and adults re-entering the college environment, navigate the college planning process and identify learning environments ideal for their individualized needs, interests, and learning styles.
