Writing to Heal Workshop - 10/25, 9:30am-12:30pm

$100.00

Join us at our beautiful office in Middleboro for a 3-hour workshop on Writing to Heal on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 9:30am to 12:30pm.

Writing has proven to be a powerful tool for creative expression and the processing of our life stories, stuck points, or personal territory yet unexplored. No topic is off limits. No story is too small or too big.

The facilitator, Jenn Laurenza, LMHC, LMFT, holds a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy as well as a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction Writing. One of her passions is enlisting writing to help people heal past trauma. Her own memoir is in process (and probably will be for quite some time due to life and procrastination :) ).

This is an experiential workshop, so come prepared to write about your life! We will have many timed writing prompts and writers will be encouraged to share with the group if they would like (no one is ever coerced into sharing). Sensitive topics such as grief, health, mental health, and trauma will likely emerge. Participants will support each other through these difficult topics.

No writing experience is necessary. If you are alive, you are a writer. The most ordinary parts of life make for the most extraordinary stories. The goal of this workshop is not to judge or critique each other’s writing (there are places for that, but this is not it!). This is a safe space to write with authenticity among a group of safe, supportive peers.

Logistics: wear comfortable clothes and bring snacks or drinks that will fuel your body, fidgets, or anything else that will help you feel comfortable and at ease.

I look forward to seeing you there! If you have any questions about this workshop, email Jenn at jenn@centerforcls.com. Due to the limited slots available (8-10), refunds cannot be provided except for emergency situations.
