Pre-licensed and Licensed Therapist Openings

Who are we looking for to join our practice?

We are seeking part-time or full-time, pre-licensed (Masters-level, working toward LMHC/LMFT) or independently licensed therapists in Massachusetts (LMHC, LICSW, or LMFT) to join a growing group practice. Pre-licensed therapists must be eligible to apply for LMHC or LMFT licensure in Massachusetts within two years.

You must be aligned with our values. Please read the About page on this website before applying.

You must be willing to see a minimum of 15 clients per week, both in-person and/or telehealth.

We believe in pay transparency. This is a fee-for-service (paid per client session provided), W-2 position, with rates for licensed clinicians from $45 to $55 per session for pre-licensed therapists and $55 to $65 per session for licensed therapists, paid biweekly. Required trainings and staff meetings are paid at $30/hour.

What do we offer?

  • Comfortable, professional office space (shared).

  • No-cost supervision for pre-licensed therapists (working toward LMHC or LMFT licenses in MA only).

  • Marketing and intake coordination.

  • We handle all client billing so you don’t have to!

  • Your choice of in-person and telehealth therapy, or a combination of both.

  • Simple and easy-to-use EHR (no clunky, agency EHR!)

  • Access to company-supplied, HIPAA-compliant Google Workspace and Google Voice.

  • Online scheduling for clients.

  • Paid sick time.

  • Health and dental insurance with a low premium and $0 deductible (full-time employees seeing 20+ clients per week).

  • Family-friendly and health-focused atmosphere focused on mutual support, learning, and balance.

  • An encouraging work culture pushing back against the productivity-focused world of mental health agencies.

  • Ability to see clients with both MassHealth and private health insurance plans.

Who should apply?

If what you have read so far aligns with your goals, we need you! There is a shortage of mental health clinicians in this state (especially providers who take insurance) and we aim to help bridge that gap. In support of our belief in access to care and high-quality mental health services, we are an insurance-based practice. You must be willing to accept insurance.

Since we are an inclusive practice, applicants must have either experience or interest in working with a variety of populations, including LGBTQIA+ youth and/or adults. We care about clinicians' interests and preferences and will work with you to provide you with referrals that interest and challenge you. There are also ample opportunities to create and run therapy groups of all types if desired. Our group practice values employees and their professional and personal development. We believe in work/life/family balance, self-care, and burnout prevention.

We aim to practice what we preach and believe that bad behavior on the part of businesses disproportionally hurts the most marginalized people in society, including people of color, women, and LGBTQIA+ people. Because we believe that these communities must be centered in the work we do, we strongly encourage applications from people with these identities or who are members of other marginalized communities.

If you are enthusiastic, organized, reliable, skilled, compassionate, flexible, and committed to social and racial justice, please contact us. Please indicate why you are interested in this practice in particular. All licensed candidates must be licensed as an LMHC, LICSW, or LMFT in Massachusetts. Pre-licensed candidates must be eligible to be licensed as an LMHC or LMFT in the next two years. Please send your resume to jlaurenza@centerforcls.com.
